But everyone knows something's going to be built there - so why not this.

The Cornwall Local Plan and the Hayle Town Framework do not have that area identified for development.  The Hayle Neighbourhood Plan - drawn up and revised after the previously consented schemes - says that a small development there, outside the Cornwall County Wildlife site would be acceptable - but not a loss of 24% of the irreplaceable habitat of the freshwater Marsh at Marsh Lane and not 8,404sqm of 'comparison shopping'.  In 2014 Cornwall Council agreed too by putting a restriction on the 40sqm Petrol Station shop...
