"Planning is another area where change is required. In the last few years, the Council has had a poor track record in defending Cornwall from urban sprawl and inappropriate development on green field sites."
Lets see if he is willing to act on his words. Contact him and ask him to investigate this application

We're a little disappointed, though not surprised, to see our request to the National Planning Casework unit has not been successful.
Work is continuing on the Next Steps to take this forward where we have much higher hopes of success. Do please keep spreading the word!!
We've heard today from George Eustice's office yesterday to say that he is taking up this matter. We're very grateful to him for his support.
We've written today to the National Planning Casework Unit to ask them to look at the issues of national importance raised in Cornwall Council ignoring the emerging Local and Neighbourhood Plans and the significant biodiversities and damage to an irreplaceable freshwater marsh habitat on the outskirts of Hayle situated - according to the developer - in Floodzone 1.
